Where the money went during the form horse session of the Summer Sale
Alex Elliott and Toby Jones among the buyers of six-figure lots in Deauville
It wasn't all about the €380,000 Galileo half-sister to Moonlight Cloud in Deauville on Wednesday for the final day of Arqana's Summer Sale. We run through who bought the six-figure lots during the horses-in-training session that brought the curtain down on the mixed auction.
Belsanndi (Lot 404)
3yo b c Sinndar - Starboard Beam (Sea The Stars)
Consigned by Aga Khan Studs
Bought by TJ Bloodstock for €210,000
"I thought he was the best horse in the sale," said Toby Jones. "When I first got the catalogue I thought he was a standout and when I went to see him it confirmed everything I thought about him. He's a beautiful horse and I'm really happy to get him."

Belsanndi, who comes from the same family as Behkabad and Vital Equine, ran twice for the Aga Khan and Alain de Royer-Dupre, and opened his account at the second attempt over 1m3f at Chateaubriant.
"This horse's profile was very appealing as he's low mileage, a beautiful horse with good scope. It's very hard to find three-year-olds with those attributes but he had all three. You can buy a horse here with proven form for the same price as you'd pay for an unbroken store. Time will tell, but hopefully it'll prove a good decision."
Crealion (415)
3yo b g Creachadoir - Lady La Lionne (Turgeon)
Consigned by Jean-Philippe Dubois
Bought by Alex Elliott for €150,000
"That was my one and only bid, I don't think I'd have gone much further."
For Langy (420)
4yo bl g Day Flight - Jubilee II (Video Rock)
Consigned by Anne-Sophie Pacault
Bought by Guy Petit for €150,000
Famous Wolf (390)
3yo b c Kendargent - More Than Famous (More Than Ready)
Consigned by Andre Fabre
Bought by Alessandro Marconi for €120,000
"He'll be going to my yard in Dubai," said trainer Ahmed bin Harmash. "I've been watching his old videos and he seems like a very nice horse, he could be one for the Dubai Carnival. I've had good luck with other horses I bought off Andre Fabre, horses like New Trails who ran in the Dubai World Cup this year."
Sanary (459)
3yo gr c Invincible Spirit - Sagawara (Shamardal)
Consigned by Aga Khan Studs
Bought by Morten Buskop Bloodstock for €100,000
"We bought the horse for a guy with a lot of nice horses in Scandinavia who races under 360 North Horse Racing," said Buskop. "He's a Danish guy but he keeps his horses with a young brilliant trainer called Nina Lensvik, she's a private trainer for 360 North Horse Racing and is based in the south of Sweden.
"The owner has done well with horses in Dubai, horses like Suspicious Mind, who I actually bred, and Irish Trilogy.
"We loved the way this horse won the race last Tuesday. When they tried him in front he was a better horse, and when he went into the last turn he just went and showed some real speed. Mind you, this horse is bred on the Invincible Spirit on Shamardal cross, so we have a nice horse with a beautiful page on our hands.
"He will probably run quite quickly, but his main target will probably be the richest Group 3 in Europe, which is in Oslo on Derby day."
