Southwell's new surface will see a number of well-bred newcomers debut in the two novice contests, namely Zabeel Prince's full-brother Teumessias Fox, who represents King Power Racing and Andrew Balding.

The colt was bred by Roundhill Stud and sold to SackvilleDonald for 230,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale last year.

By Ballyinch Stud stalwart Lope De Vega, he is the latest foal out of the remarkable Unbridled's Song mare Princess Serena, an unplaced half-sister to Grade 2 American Turf Stakes scorer and top level-placed Doubles Partner.

Princess Serena is in turn out of Serena's Sister, a full-sister to multiple Grade 1 heroine Serena's Song, the dam of Coronation Stakes victress Sophisticat, plus American Graded winners Grand Reward, Schramsberg and Harlington.

Princess Serena has produced nine individual winners and four black-type performers to date, namely Prix d'Ispahan scorer Zabeel Prince, Australian Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1-placed Puissance De Lune, Middleton Fillies' Stakes victress Queen Power and the Listed-placed His Majesty.

Teumessias Fox is set to face ten rivals in the contest over seven furlongs (7.00), including Nazca, an Oasis Dream colt from the family of Irish and Yorkshire Oaks heroine Pure Grain who was picked up by Juddmonte for 310,000gns from Newsells Park Stud at Book 2; Kingwell, a Kingman colt from the family of Australian Oaks winner Colette; and Yantarni, Godolphin's Dubawi half-brother to Prix Guillaume d'Ornano scorer and Jebel Hatta runner-up Vancouverite.

The opening division of the novice stakes (6.30) includes another King Power Racing recruit in Love Mystery, a 300,000gns son of Frankel who is out of a full-sister to Double Or Bubble and from the family of St Leger second High Accolade.

Also in action is Kodiac Blue, by Kodiac and out of a winning half-sister to Group 3 winner Snowday and from the family of Cheveley Park Stakes scorer Pas De Reponse and French 2,000 Guineas winner Green Tune.

Kevin Ryan will unveil True Warfare, a son of Siyouni out of an unraced half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Lillie Langtry, the dam of the outstanding seven-time top-level victress Minding, and Grade 3 runner-up Danilovna.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, True Warfare was picked up by Joe Foley for 150,000gns from Whatton Manor Stud at Book 2.
