Well-bred half-brother to Ajman Princess and Third Realm to debut at Leicester
The colt is a half-brother to Ajman Princess and Third Realm
Kevin Ryan and Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum will combine when a Frankel relation to Cazoo Derby hope Third Realm and Prix Jean Romanet winner Ajman Princess makes his debut in the juvenile maiden at Leicester on Tuesday.
The homebred Triple Time is the ninth foal out of the Listed-placed Mark Of Esteem mare Reem Three - a three-time winner for Luca Cumani and a half-sister to Celebration Mile and Hampton Court Stakes scorer Afsare, also second in the Grade 1 Arlington Million Stakes.
Reem Three has proven a brilliant producer with five of her six offspring to have made the track picking up black type.
The family page could receive a significant update if the Varian-trained Third Realm claims Classic glory at Epsom. The son of Sea The Stars has won his last two starts, including the Lingfield Classic Trial and is among the leading British challengers for the Epsom event.
Ajman Princess, a top-class daughter of Teofilo, was multiple Group-placed before her Group 1 French win for Roger Varian, while the Newmarket handler also trains their Shamardal sibling in Cape Byron, winner of the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot and later the Group 3 Bengough.
Reem Three has also produced Ostilio, a son of New Approach who won the Britannia Stakes and Prix Daniel Wildenstein for Simon Crisford, and Imperial Charm, a daughter of Dubawi who was third in the Prix Saint Alary and fourth in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches.
Among Triple Time's 12 rivals in the six-furlong contest includes the Varian-trained Sed Maarib - a son of American Pharoah who was a $225,000 purchase by Broadhurst Agency at the Keeneland November Foal Sale and then picked up by Oliver St Lawrence for €320,000 from Etreham at Arqana - Wild Tiger, Godolphin's Frankel half-brother to the stakes-winning Algiers, and Sweeping, a son of Siyouni out of the Group-placed Sea The Stars mare Sweeping Up.
The preceding juvenile novice contest (1.25) includes the William Haggas-trained Maglev, a Galileo Gold half-brother to the Listed-winning and Group 1-placed Acklam Express, a £25,000 purchase from the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale who then sold to Ling Bloodstock from Tally-Ho Stud for 210,000gns at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale.
