Uncertainty and worry hangs over breeze-up industry as sales season looms large

These are trying times for the industry at large with racing in Ireland and France taking place behind closed doors and similar measures set to be introduced in Britain.
One industry group facing particular disruption are those involved in the breeze-ups as the sales season draws ever nearer. That in turn could have a knock-on effect on the yearling sales this autumn, should vendors struggle to move on stock and therefore curtail their budgets when trying to source youngsters for next year's round of sales.
Among the main concerns for vendors are that sales will be cancelled or postponed, buyers will decide to stay away from sales, or else will be forced to do so with international travel restrictions put in place.
