This year represents a couple of notable anniversaries in the breeding story of Sven and Carina Hanson, as well as the opportunity to turn over the page on some lowlights from 2019.

The Swedish couple have a particularly close affinity with their horses because the link has endured for such a sustained period of time.

Pride, their redoubtable homebred winner of three Group 1s, including the Champion Stakes and Hong Kong Cup, turned 20 in January, while Fair Salinia, the English, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks winner, was born 45 years ago.
