Ted Voute and Luke Lillingston launch online nomination trading platform
Buyanom.com aims to facilitate and streamline purchase of nominations
Buyanom.com, an online platform for trading stallion nominations, was launched at Palace House in Newmarket on Sunday.
The new venture is the brainchild of Ted Voute and Luke Lillingston, who identified a gap in the market for facilitating and streamlining the process of trading nominations, and the founders hope the new platform will become the "go-to site" for buying and selling them.
Mare owners will be able to search for suitable nominations for their mating plans on buyanom.com while stallion owners can list available nominations at their advertised price, terms and conditions.
Once an offer is accepted by a stallion owner, negotiations on the contract can proceed and, once agreed, contracts are raised and signed by both parties.
Annual membership to access the full features of the site is required, with an additional fee of £100 payable if listing nominations or offering your mare to nomination sellers.
Luke Lillingston said: “We believe that as so many things are bought and sold online nowadays, the time is right to launch buyanom.com.
"We've put a great deal of thought into creating something that will be useful for everyone in the breeding industry. It has the potential to save time and money, is easy to use, and yet is very discreet.”
Joe Grimwade has been appointed as UK representative for the website, with Jerry Horan the Irish-based agent.
