Tattersalls joins forces with Anglo Hibernian Bloodstock
Newmarket neighbours start new association
Tattersalls has started an association with the Newmarket-based Anglo Hibernian Bloodstock Insurance Services Ltd.
In 2017 Anglo Hibernian, the specialist bloodstock and equine insurance brokers, was purchased by Global Risk Partners (GRP), owner of Lonmar Global Risks, a broker of international bloodstock insurance in the London Market.
Jim Wordsworth, CEO of Anglo Hibernian who founded the company in 1997, said: “Over the last 22 years Anglo Hibernian has established itself as a major player in the bloodstock insurance market.
"Having always been situated next door to Tattersalls on the Terrace in Newmarket, we are delighted to have joined forces and effectively ‘knocked a hole in the wall’.
"The combination of Tattersalls, Europe’s leading bloodstock auctioneers, and the insurance expertise of Anglo Hibernian in Newmarket, supported by Lonmar Global Risks, the London-based broker makes for a very exciting tie-up.”
Commenting of the new association between the two companies, Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony added: “Tattersalls is pleased to be able to introduce our clients to Anglo Hibernian who offer a full range of bloodstock and other insurance products.”
Anglo Hibernian will have representatives at all Tattersalls sales at Park Paddocks to meet interested clients and answer questions about the full range of insurance services that they offer.
They will be based in Office 10 in the sale ring, commencing with the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up and Horses in Training Sale next week.
