Tattersalls Ireland releases catalogue for Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale
Sale is set to take place next month – coronavirus lockdown permitting
Tattersalls Ireland has published a catalogue of 225 lots for the Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale scheduled for May 21-22 – while warning that the date is under constant review due to the uncertain nature of the coronavirus pandemic.
The two-year-olds entered for Ireland's only breeze-up auction will breeze from 10am at Fairyhouse racecourse on the Thursday with the lots going under the hammer in the Tattersalls Ireland ring on the following day.
The sale was held by Goresbridge in County Kilkenny until last year when it was brought under the Tattersalls Ireland umbrella.
The first amalgamated auction 12 months ago brought a top price of €175,000, paid by Blandford Bloodstock for the Lope De Vega colt Haqeeqy. Some 44 winners have emerged from the sale.
This year's catalogue features a New Bay half-sister to last year's sale-topper as well as a Frankel filly – a one-off by her sire in the auction – who is the first foal out of the dual Group 3 winner and Matron Stakes third Ainippe.
Other sires represented include Australia, Awtaad, Bated Breath, Camelot, Dandy Man, Exceed And Excel, Gleneagles, Hard Spun, Kingman, Kodi Bear, Kodiac, Lope De Vega, Night Of Thunder, No Nay Never, Shalaa, Starspangledbanner, Territories, Wootton Bassett and Zoffany.
