Kingmambo mare Midsummer has been a top-class producer for Juddmonte over the years and her latest offspring Maytal is set for a late-season debut at Kempton on Wednesday.

Sir Michael Stoute's daughter of Sea The Stars hails from a typically outstanding Juddmonte family, being a half-sister to the outstanding Midday, a six-time Group 1 winner for the late Sir Henry Cecil.

Midday - a daughter of Banstead Manor Stud resident Oasis Dream - has also proven a black type-producing dam with her Galileo son Midterm winning Sandown's Classic Trial in 2016 and her Frankel filly Mori winning a Listed contest and finishing a narrow second in the Ribblesdale Stakes in 2017.

Midsummer is also responsible for three other black type performers, namely Hoppings Fillies' Stakes winner and Fillies & Mares Stakes third Sun Maiden (by Frankel), plus Nell Gwyn Stakes victress Hot Snap (Pivotal) and the stakes-placed Monsun gelding Midsummer Sun.

The now 20-year-old is a half-sister to Oaks winner Reams Of Verse - the dam of two stakes winners - in addition to Eclipse and Irish Champion Stakes hero Elmaamul plus runway Yorkshire Cup scorer Manifest.

Maytal is not the only blue-blooded youngster to line up in Kempton's Uniboosts A Day EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes (5.35), with the Roger Varian-trained Positano also catching the eye.

The daughter of War Front, an 850,000gns purchase from Newsells Park Stud at Book 1 of Tattersalls October Yearling Sale last year, is a half-sister to Oaks winner Qualify and the stakes-placed Shogun.
