Smart pointers head initial Goffs UK December entries
Five promising four-year-olds from last weekend's Irish meetings feature among the initial batch of entries for the new Goffs UK December P2P Sale at Yorton Farm Stud on Thursday 17 December.
The auction follows on the heels of last month's rearranged Goffs UK event at the Welsh borders venue, where a new world record price of £570,000 was set for a point-to-pointer.
Leading the line-up is Classic Getaway, who earned rave reviews from jockey Rob James as eight-length winner of his debut point for Donnchadh Doyle at Borris House.
Kayf Tara gelding Ottoman Style (Cormac Doyle) was another debut winner at the same meeting last Sunday scheduled to go under the hammer while Midnight It Is had looked unlucky when falling at the second last for Alan Ahern.
Meanwhile Tango Tara (James Doyle) and Upping The Anti (Gearóid O'Loughlin) were first and second at Ballindenisk on the same day.
More entries will be published online later next week, with Goffs UK still open to new enquiries.
