Sir Prancealot to stand in California next year at a fee of $15,000

Reverse shuttler Sir Prancealot, who will stand at Rancho San Miguel in California for the 2020 northern hemisphere season, will stand for $15,000 to approved mares, the farm has announced.

Imported progeny by the Irish-bred son of Tamayuz have made an impact on American turf racing this year, led by three-time Graded stakes winner and millionaire Beau Recall, winner of the Churchill Distaff Turf Mile Stakes and Yellow Ribbon Handicap this year and runner-up in both the Just a Game Stakes and Rodeo Drive Stakes.

The five-year-old mare is being aimed for the Matriarch Stakes at Del Mar in December.

Other top US runners include two-time Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Lady Prancealot and Ginger Nut, who captured black-type at Keeneland in the Limestone Turf Sprint Stakes.

"This is a unique situation in that Sir Prancealot is already proven to be an elite stallion in North America before even standing here," said Adrian Gonzalez, manager of the Sir Prancealot syndicate.

"It's unprecedented to have a horse with the hype of a young incoming freshman stallion along with proven Graded stakes results from small crops,"

Sir Prancealot stood at Cornerstone Stud in South Australia during the southern hemisphere breeding season.

He has been represented by seven black-type winners to date, of which four have won Graded/Group stakes.

Sir Prancealot stood at Tally-Ho Stud in County Westmeath from 2013 to 2017.
