The sale reverts to its usual format as the first store sale of the year
The catalogue for the Tattersalls Ireland May Store Sale has been released, with full or half-brothers and sisters to black type winners among the 230 stores set to be offered on Tuesday, May 10.
Back to its original format as the first store sale of the year from the Fairyhouse sales complex, the May Store Sale enjoyed an excellent Aintree meeting with winners coming in the shape of Grade 2 bumper winner Lookaway and Grade 3 handicap hurdle scorer Party Business.
Other notable performers this year include Shantreusse, an impressive winner of a Grade 3 novice hurdle at Clonmel for Henry de Bromhead, and Imperial Cup victor Surprise Package.
This year's catalogue includes a Flemensfirth full-brother to Challow Novices' Hurdle winner Poetic Rhythm (lot 43); Graiguebeg Stud's half-brother to Flogas Novice Chase scorer Apache Stronghold (145); Mocklershill Stables' half-sister to Bet365 Gold Cup hero Talkischeap (113); and Castletown Quarry Stud's Jet Away half-brother to Grade 3-winning hurdler Invicta Lake (121).
Sires represented at the sale include Blue Bresil, Court Cave, Doyen, Flemensfirth, Getaway, Milan, Mount Nelson, Shirocco, Westerner and Yeats.
All horses catalogued are eligible for the 2023 €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper.
