Arqana's regular online sale of stallion shares and breeding rights takes place on Tuesday afternoon with a select catalogue that includes some of France's best Flat and National Hunt stallions.

The highlight of the sale is lot 1, the 1/50th share in France's best stallion Siyouni. Three years' ago when Arqana offered a similar share in the son of Pivotal, it fetched €960,000. Since then the Aga Khan Studs' stallion has gone on to sire the 2020 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Sottsass and this year's Cartier Horse of the Year St Mark's Basilica.

Siyouni covered 139 mares this year at a fee of €140,000, which has been set as his fee for 2022.

Shares in two of France's most exciting up-and-coming stallions are also due to sell on Tuesday including one of Siyouni's fellow Aga Khan Studs' stallion Zarak.

The son of Dubawi and Zarkava is the sire of two Group 1-placed horses in his first crop including Purplepay, who was third in the Criterium International at Saint-Cloud and is catalogued as lot 100 in Arqana's December Sale.

Lot 3 is a share in Haras de Boquetot's Zelzal whose first crop of two-year-olds include Tony Parker's Listed Prix Saraca winner Zelda.

Breeding rights in British-based stallions are also on offer with Whitsbury Manor Stud's Showcasing bound to be popular. Catalogued as lot 8, the breeding right entitles the buyer to one cover per year and the sire of Advertise, Mohaather and Quiet Reflection will stand for £45,000 in 2022.

A share in Haras du Montaigu's excellent National Hunt stallion No Risk At All is also up for auction. Lot 7 is a 1/50th share in the 14-year-old who is already the sire of Cheltenham Festival Grade 1 winners Allaho and Epatante.

The sale is a timed online auction which begins at 1pm GMT and lasts for four hours.
