Requinto, who finished his seven-year stint at Coolmore Stud with a flourish through a Group victory by Great Scot and the rampant progress of bargain buy Mild Illusion, looks set to be in demand during his stint at Allevamento Il Grifone in Turin.

The stallion is being managed by Mattia Cadrobbi, who explained that he remains the property of Coolmore and is currently just slated for the 2020 season in Italy, where he will be residing alongside the 2007 July Cup winner Sakhee's Secret.

Requinto only ran as a juvenile for David Wachman, being out of that same trainer's brilliant Queen Mary winner Damson. He scored on four occasions, including in the Molecomb at Goodwood and in Doncaster's Flying Childers Stakes, and ran commendably behind Tangerine Trees in the 2011 Prix de l'Abbaye.

"He is at Il Grifone, is in top condition and he is ready for the season," said Cadrobbi. "We have had many pre-nominations for him, incredible numbers for Italy, so I am really happy.

"The agent Marco Bozzi managed the relocation and Requinto is a stallion very suitable for the Italian market. He has Danehill in his paternal line and he was a precocious horse with a precocious mum."

Requinto will be standing for €4,000, in line with his previous year in Tipperary and Cadrobbi is optimistic of him having a few flag-bearers. Great Scot, who was third in last year's German Guineas, was sold out of the Tom Dascombe stable after claiming the Group 3 Superior Mile at Haydock in September.

"We believe that Great Scot will race in Saudi Arabia in the richest race in the world and hope for a good three-year-old season for Mild Illusion," he said. "Let's not forget that the stallion will also have about 80 two-year-olds in 2020."

This is a new venture for Cadrobbi, 37, who has not managed a thoroughbred stallion prior to Requinto. He has managed Purebred Arabians on behalf of Middle-Eastern clients and has bred a number of his own from near Merano.

"I started only one year ago with the thoroughbred horses," he explains. "I bought four mares myself, one is a Group 3 winner in Italy, another, Extremely Vintage, won a Listed race.

"I have a US mare in Kentucky, Victorious Won, who is a half-sister to two Breeders' Cup Mile winners [Miesque's Approval and World Approval], and a young Camelot mare from Juddmonte, Purlain, who is from from the same maternal line as Kind.

"My dream is to breed a horse that can race on Arc day, so hopefully I'll have some good results in the future with the thoroughbreds."
