Report calls for bloodstock industry to let BHA regulate and license agents

The BHA should be central to the future regulation of a British bloodstock industry that operates under a proper code of conduct and with agents operating under licence.

Those were among the key recommendations identified by review leader Justin Felice and outlined in a report that also highlights the need for any changes made in Britain to be mirrored in Ireland.

In the report's submitted draft, around which the BHA is seeking industry approval, former senior police officer Felice makes eight individual recommendations built around four themes of greater cross-industry co-operation, tighter regulation, improved communication, education and awareness, and enhanced transparency.
