The 7f Irwin Mitchell EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes (6.38) at Newbury on Thursday has attracted some blue-blooded sorts, with Juddmonte and Bjorn Nielsen among the leading owner-breeders represented.

Nielsen's daughter of Dubawi, Cruella De Vill, is the 13th foal out of the marvellous producer Hoity Toity, an unraced daughter of Darshaan, and is therefore a half-sister to six winners.

The most notable of them is the prolific Lillie Langtry, a daughter of Danehill Dancer who won the Coronation and Matron Stakes for Aidan O'Brien and Coolmore before becoming a brilliant broodmare.

She is responsible for the likes of Classic heroine and seven-time top-level scorer Minding as well as this year's Oaks winner Tuesday, last year's Irish 1,000 Guineas scorer Empress Josephine and the Group-winning Kissed By Angels, all by the mighty Galileo.

Cruella De Vill is also related to the stakes-winning Duke Of Marmalade gelding Count Of Limonade and Grade 3 runner-up Danilovna, herself a daughter of the great Dansili.

Another notable debutante is Juddmonte homebred Prepense, who makes her first start for the Derby-winning pair of Sir Michael Stoute and Richard Kingscote.

The daughter of Kingman is the ninth foal out of the winning King's Best mare Deliberate and is therefore a sister to the operation's high-class Headman and a half-sister to American Grade 2 scorer Projected, as well as the French Group-placed Delivery.

Headman, who was trained by Roger Charlton, won on his two-year-old bow at Newcastle that November and went on to land the London Gold Cup on his second start at three before a brace of Group-race wins in the Prix Eugene Adam and Prix Guillaume d'Ornano that summer.

Also a respectable fifth in the Irish Champion Stakes that season, he did not win in two final starts the following year but retired to take up stallion duties at Figerro Breeding Farm before relocating to stand at Haras de Cercy this year for a fee of €3,000.

Deliberate is a half-sister to the prolific multiple top-level winner Flintshire, a son of Dansili who won £6,248,729 in prize-money in Europe and America for the late Khalid Abdullah's operation. The pair are out of Prix de Royallieu scorer Dance Routine, a Sadler's Wells sister to Concentric, the dam of the brilliant Enable, and a sister or half-sister to four black-type winners.

The two debutantes will face rivals that include Star Sprite, by Sea The Stars and out of a winning half-sister to Group 1 winner Chelsea Rose, the dam of St Leger hero and Coolmore National Hunt sire Kew Gardens; Perfect Prophet, a Nathaniel filly from the family of her sire's high-class Nate The Great and James Garfield; plus Miss Helen, by Coolmore's first-season sire U S Navy Flag and from the family of top-level winner Adelaide.
