Regal relatives headline entries for Goffs December National Hunt Sale
Relatives of the likes of Grade 1 performers Kalashnikov, Bobs Worth and Frodon are among the foals and breeding stock headlining the Goffs December National Hunt Sale.
Some 594 exciting prospects are catalogued for the two-day sale between December 11 and 12, which will open with a small draft of yearlings followed by 555 Irish National Hunt foals.
The sale will conclude with a selection of breeding stock on Thursday evening which includes four graded performers from Gigginstown House Stud, who last year provided the top priced mare in Ireland for over a decade at the December NH Sale.
Established and first-season sires feature, including Beat Hollow, Blue Bresil, Califet, Champs Elysees, Court Cave, Diamond Boy, Doyen, Flemensfirth, Getaway, Jukebox Jury, Kalanisi, Milan, Mount Nelson, No Risk At All, Presenting, Saint des Saints, Shantou, Soldier of Fortune, Tirwanako, Walk In The Park and Westerner.
Commenting on the publication of the catalogue, Goffs group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "This catalogue is a proper page turner. As the fastest growing National Hunt Sale in recent times, it has been very rewarding to see more and more vendors choosing to send their best foals and breeding stock to Goffs December Sale.
"The key to the success of this sale is an emphasis on quality over quantity that provides buyers – be they pinhookers or end users - with a consistently high standard from start to finish in a convenient two-day format. We have just managed to keep the catalogue to a two-day sale having received a record number of applications.
"I would like to thank all of the vendors who have supported the sale and allowed us to compile what we believe is the strongest catalogue to date for the December NH Sale.
"It has been a wonderful year for Goffs National Hunt, both on the track and at the Land Rover and Punchestown Sales, and we hope to finish the year with a flourish in December."
