Dubawi has been one of the first ports of call for European breeders with their Group 1-winning and producing mares for years now, as demonstrated by the pedigrees of his best racecourse performers of recent seasons.

Two of his three top-level winners in Europe in 2019, Ghaiyyath and Too Darn Hot, are out of mares who won Group 1 races in their own careers – Nightime and Dar Re Mi. The other, Coronet, is a half-sister to Irish Derby and St Leger runner-up Midas Touch out of Approach, a Listed-winning half-sister to Aussie Rules.

The quality was ratcheted a little higher again in 2017, when this year's juveniles were bred, as Dubawi's fee was increased to £250,000 from £225,000 on the back of another stellar season in which son Postponed won three times at the highest level and daughter Wuheida became her sire's first Group 1-winning two-year-old.
