Financial imperative is Peter Stanley's driving force, necessitating a knack for forecasting trends in the market and keeping his clients happy.

His New England Stud, in family hands for almost 70 years, is as relevant as ever, ranking third among consignors at least year's Tattersalls Book 1, and its 300 acres of Newmarket pasture are home to some blue-blooded individuals.

"Originally there were no mares at the stud so it’s been a very slow process from nothing, trying to upgrade all the time," Stanley says.
