Paulownia breaks her sire's duck at Ascot
Nathaniel was represented by his first winner as a sire on Saturday when daughter Paulownia recorded a comfortable victory in an Ascot 7f maiden on her second career start.
, who finished second on debut at Newmarket last month, is trained by Richard Hannon for Knockainey, having been purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle for just 35,000gns at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
The filly was bred by Woodcote Stud out of the winning Golan mare , a half-sister to Poule d'Essai des Pouliches and Prix de la Foret winner Danseuse Du Soir, who produced the high-class pair Jumbajukiba and Scintillo at paddocks.
