Mustajeeb on the move to Ravdansens Stuteri in Sweden

Mustajeeb, who ran third to Kingman in the 2014 Irish 2,000 Guineas, will take up stallion duties at Ravdansens Stuteri in Sweden for the 2020 breeding season.

Trained by Dermot Weld, the Shadwell homebred found only War Command too good in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes at two, and landed the Amythest Stakes - a key Guineas trial - on his seasonal reappearance at three.

Mustajeeb finished third to Kingman on his next start in the Irish 2,000 Guineas ahead of his win in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, and ran a close second to Bow Creek in the Group 2 Boomerang Mile at Leopardstown later that season.

The highlight of his four-year-old campaign was his victory in the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes sprint at the Curragh.

Stud owner Ivan Sjoberg said: "We believe that Mustajeeb is the perfect replacement for Eishin Dunkirk, a now retired son of Mr Prospector who has been leading Scandinavian sire for several years and who in 2018 set a new Scandinavian record of over 13 million SEK in prize money.

"Since Mustajeeb comes from the Mr Prospector line - which we know suits Swedish racing's dirt and speed tracks - he should be a perfect match for Scandinavia. He already proved himself on turf, too.

"Mustajeeb has had a somewhat messy start to his stud career, to say the least, but he will now get a new beginning at Ravdansens Stud. He will cover some of our best mares and we will head to the Goffs Breeding-Stock Sale to find new suitable mares for him in November.

"His nomination fee will be announced later this year."

The son of Nayef will relocate from Haras de Fleury in France, where he stood the latest season, having had a year off due to a cancelled transfer to Bush Hill Stud in South Africa in 2017 due to logistical issues.

Mustajeeb stood for his first two seasons at Overbury Stud, with his oldest crop now two-year-olds, and his handful of runners to date includes Bill Neigh, the winner of a valuable 5f conditions stakes at Musselburgh at the start of June before a creditable midfield run in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Ravdansens' new recruit is out of the Elusive Quality mare Rifqah, who shares her granddam Allez Les Trois, a Group 3-winning sibling to the legendary Urban Sea, with the exceptional miler and sire Tamayuz.

Shadwell have signalled their support for the stallion by retaining five shares.
