Multiple winner Tornadic tops Arqana's August Online Sale at €150,000
The son of Toronado was bought by YMT Farm's Youssef Mohammed Alturaif
Tornadic, a multiple winning son of Toronado, topped Arqana's August Online Sale when selling to Youssef Mohammed Alturaif of YMT Farm for €150,000 on Friday.
The sale, which offered five horses in training as well as a filly and a mare, saw more than 50 bidders take part for 106 bids overall.
Tornadic, who was second in this month's Grand Handicap de Deauville for Jerome Reynier, had cosily won his first two starts in Britain for Eve Johnson Houghton before moving to Reynier this May.
The four-year-old gelding had notched up a hat-trick of wins this spring and summer before his narrow defeat at Deauville.
Alturaif went to €85,000 to snap up Sahib's Joy, a entire son of Soldier Hollow who was last seen winning the Group 3 Fritz Henkel Stiftung-Rennen in Dusseldorf for Peter Schiergen.
Also the winner of a Listed contest in Germany last year as well as several Group and Listed placings this season, the five-year-old has a current rating of 106.
Firenza Bella, who was offered in foal to Goliath du Berlais by Haras de la Vastine, made €31,000 to Busher Bloodstock. The daughter of Coastal Path is a half-sister to dual Grade 1-winning hurdler Gaillard Du Mesnil.
War Front filly Sudaf, a winning daughter of American Grade 3 winner Mufajaah and from a family full of black type winners, sold to JD Moore for €52,500.
