Opening the Arqana breeding stock sale on Saturday, December 3, Part 1 of the catalogue has been further enhanced with the addition of Group winners Oscula and Waldbiene, and dual Listed winner Burgarita.

Placed in eight of her ten starts at two, Oscula easily won the Group 3 Prix Six Perfections at Deauville last year, providing a first Group winner to trainer George Boughey, for Nick Bradley Racing.

She then finished third in the Prix Calvados and Rockfel Stakes, before taking the same place in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac.

This year, the filly took the Listed Eternal Stakes before following up in the Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Back at Deauville, she scored in the Group 3 Prix de Lieurey.

The three-year-old has a current rating of 107, and the daughter of Galileo Gold hails from the family of Group winners Galeota (Mill Reef Stakes), Brown Sugar (Molecomb Stakes), Burnt Sugar (Sirenia Stakes), Wings Of War (Mill Reef Stakes) and Charyn (Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte).

Burgarita, a winner on her debut as a three-year-old, the Andre Fabre-trained horse then followed up in the Listed Prix de la Seine at Longchamp on her second start before being placed in the Prix de Diane.

The same year she was runner-up in the Prix Minerve before finishing fourth in the Prix Vermeille.

This spring, the Ecurie Ama Zingteam-owned filly was runner up in the Prix Allez France and in the Prix Corrida. She most recently scored in the Listed Prix Casimir Delamarre at Longchamp.

Another with a current rating of 107, the daughter of Sea The Stars is a half-sister to Group winner Aquamarine. Her dam, Angelita, is a sister to dual US Grade 1 scorer Angara.

The blue-blooded filly hails from the family of dual Group 1 winner Arcangues and the very talented Agathe, not to mention Group 1 winners Aquarelliste and Artiste Royal.

Waldbiene was a winner on her debut last year, and the Waldemar Hickst-trained horse was impressive when winning the Group 2 T von Zastrow Stutenpreis by a length and a half before finishing runner-up in the Grosser Preis des Gestuts Auenquelle und Torquator Tasso in the colours of Stall Grafenberg.

The four-year-old has a current rating of 100, and the daughter of Intello will be offered by Ronald Rauscher. She is out of Group placed Waldjagd, who has also produced Listed scorer Urwald.

Bred just a few kilometres from the Arqana sales complex in Deauville, the granddaughter of Group winner Wurftaube hails from the family of Group 1 winners Masked Marvel, Waldgeist, who most famously won the Arc, and Wake Forest.

The Arqana Breeding Stock catalogue will be available on Monday.
