This year represents a significant milestone in the history of Anngrove Stud as the County Laois stud farm celebrates its 50th year in business.

Tattersalls auctioneer Alastair Pim is the sixth generation of his family to reside at Anngrove and took over the running of the stud from his father David, who passed away at the age of 79 in 2010.

David Pim was a highly regarded auctioneer, noted for selling the first seven-figure yearling at Tattersalls in 1983, while his son managed to sell the first millionaire yearling at Book 2 last year when Angus Gold struck a winning bid of 1,050,000gns for a well-related daughter of Dark Angel.
