Longhouse Sale is providing regular advertising about the merits of stallion September Storm as he collected his eighth consecutive victory with absolute ease at Ffos Las on Wednesday.

The five-year-old was originally sold as a foal for just €3,500 at the Goffs December National Hunt Sale by John Kidd, who stood September Storm for six seasons at his Ballyash Stud in Northern Ireland before he moved to Knockhouse Stud for 2017.

September Storm was not much of a racehorse in Germany but most significantly is a Monsun brother of top jumps stallion Shirocco.

He has been producing fairly small crops, with his previous highlight being the Listed hurdle and chase-winning mare Mia’s Storm.

Longhouse Sale, who started his racing career only 13 months ago in landing a Dromahane maiden point for Sam Curling, added four bumpers for the Skeltons and three more races over timber in recent times, the latest coming when coasting home at odds of 1-10 in the Trustmark Design and Print Novices' Hurdle.

September Storm is standing for a private fee at his base in County Kilkenny.

"He's not covering big books of mares, about 40 every year," said Sean Kinsella of Knockhouse. "He needs that one good talking horse, but there've been a good few lads who have given two or three mares. He's been supported well, and we've a few things ourselves."

He continued: "They make good sales horses, there aren’t many in the likes of the Derby or the Land Rover sales, it's mainly performed horses from the point-to-point field.

"There was another horse [Everybreathyoutake] who won in a common canter at Downpatrick the Sunday before last. They're genuine horses and I hope there are plenty more to come."
