Wellenspiel, whose first two foals have won the last two runnings of the Deutsches Derby, has produced her sixth foal.

The new arrival is a filly by Dalham Hall Stud flagbearer Dubawi, making her a half-sister to Windstoss (Shirocco), winner of the 2017 German Classic for trainer Markus Klug and owner-breeder Gestüt Röttgen, and Weltstar (Soldier Hollow), successful in the race for the same connections last year.

Wellenspiel, an 11-year-old daughter of Sternkoenig who was a dual winner in Germany, is also the dam of Walerian, a three-year-old son of Reliable Man who finished fourth on his third start at Dusseldorf for Klug and Röttgen last month.

The mare's fourth foal is Worrick, a two-year-old colt by Kamsin who was a €130,000 vendor buyback at Baden-Baden last year, and her fifth is Wellenpracht, a yearling filly by Protectionist.

After delivering her Dubawi filly on March 21, Wellenspiel was set to be covered by world champion and Classic sire Sea The Stars at Gilltown Stud.

Gestüt Röttgen was founded near Cologne in 1924 and has reared numerous top-class horses throughout its history including the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe hero Star Appeal and Wellenspiel's sire Sternkoenig, the Group 1 winner who finished third to Lando and Monsun in the vintage Deutsches Derby of 1993.
