Kodi Bear fee more than doubled as Rathbarry announces 2022 roster
Acclamation and James Garfield remain at €27,500 and €4,000
Burgeoning second-season sire Kodi Bear has had his fee more than doubled to €15,000 for the upcoming breeding season after excellent results on the track this term.
The son of Kodiac has been responsible for five individual stakes winners from ten stakes performers overall, including this season's Railway Stakes scorer and Phoenix Stakes third Go Bears Go, Pretty Polly Stakes winner and Oaks runner-up Mystery Angel, and stakes winner and Commonwealth Cup third Measure Of Magic.
Kodi Bear, who stood the 2021 breeding season for €6,000, is the sire of the winners of 88 races and £1,587,372 in prize-money.
Leading the three-strong roster at Rathbarry's County Cork base is the evergreen Acclamation, who will remain at a fee of €27,500.
The sire of five individual top-flight winners, including leading sire Dark Angel, promising first-season sire Aclaim and Juddmonte's Breeders' Cup scorer and first-crop yearling sire Expert Eye, the 22-year-old has been represented by 28 individual Group winners and 32 Listed scorers.
The roster is completed by James Garfield, a son of Exceed And Excel who has had his first yearlings go through the sales rings this year. The six-year-old will remain at €4,000.
