Jovial out to make amends after half-sister Jubiloso's Goodwood eclipse
Pair are out of Frankel's half-sister Joyeuse

It was not quite to be at Goodwood on Friday for hot favourite Jubiloso, whose younger half-sister Jovial has the chance to make amends almost exactly 24 hours later at Chelmsford.
The siblings come from Juddmonte’s most famous modern family as their mother is Joyeuse, a half-sister to a certain Frankel out of the wonder-mare Kind.
Jubiloso was the first foal out of Joyeuse, a precocious juvenile for Sir Henry Cecil who finished her career as a dual Listed winner. The product of a covering by Shamardal, she made her own winning debut on the Essex Polytrack this April before finishing third in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
An even-money shot for the Theo Fennell Oak Tree Stakes, Jubiloso found herself stuck in a tricky position towards the rear of the field before flashing home for third behind the track record-breaking Billesdon Brook. Joyeuse has provided two further offspring on the ground even more closely related to Frankel, with a yearling and colt foal by the superstar’s father Galileo.
Jovial has an equally illustrious father in Dubawi and has also been sent to Sir Michael Stoute, who starts her off over six furlongs in the Bet toteplacepot At totesport.com Fillies' Novice Stakes.
Among her rivals are newcomer Dear Power, a 350,000 Book 1 purchase by Acclamation in training with Roger Varian. Another Acclamation, Phoenix Thoroughbreds’ Wonderful Effort, has an equally speedy pedigree while Mark Johnston’s No Nay Never filly JM Jackson is the one with form on the board.
