The Japan Bloodhorse Breeders Association has released stud fees for the 2020 breeding season, when it will introduce Kenucky Derby and Dubai World Cup winner Animal Kingdom.

The son of Leroidesanimaux, who shuttled to Australia in 2013-14, is the sire of Angel Of Truth, winner of the Australian Derby earlier this year, while the stallion has also sired two Japan Racing Association winners.

His fee for 2020 has been listed as ¥1.2 million (£8,550/€9,970) live foal stands and nurses.

Declaration Of War, who was imported to Japan prior to the 2019 breeding season and also shuttled to Australia in 2014 and 2016, is the sire of Vow And Declare, winner of this month's Melbourne Cup.

The son of War Front has so far proved popular with Japanese breeders, covering 152 mares during the 2019 season. His fee remains at ¥2.3m (£16,390/€19,100) - the most expensive fee among 11 stallions at the JBBA.

Eskendereya, who was represented by recent Breeders' Cup Sprint hero Mitole, has had his fee reduced to ¥1m (£7,120/€8,300) in 2020 from ¥1.5m over the last three years.

The second most expensive stallion in residence at JBBA is dual Group 1 winner Makfi, who stands for ¥2.2m (£15,670/€18,270).

His fee has remained unchanged since he entered stud duty in Japan in 2017. The son of Dubawi is the sire of Mkfancy, who took the Criterium de Saint-Cloud last month.

The JBBA also stands Creator (fee: ¥2m), Cape Blanco (¥800,000), Bago (¥500,000) and Sunningdale (¥100,000).
