Irish Stallion Trail to go online due to travel problems relating to Covid-19
Content from a number of studs will be released from mid-December
The 2021 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Irish Stallion Trail will be an event online due to travel concerns as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, ITM has confirmed.
Normally, the Irish Stallion Trail offers breeders and fans the opportunity to visit Irish stallion farms, with a number opening their doors across two days in January.
However, the event, which now becomes the ITM Irish Stallion Showcase, will next year include videos from a number of studs, social media content plus an advertising campaign. Content will be released from mid-December, with the majority of it going out from January 11-16.
ITM marketing executive Alex Cairns said: “The ITM Irish Stallion Trail has become an annual fixture for breeders and racing fans alike. Unfortunately the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic means Irish stallion farms will not be able to open their doors for the Trail in January 2021.
"The content produced for the ITM Irish Stallion Showcase will allow us to communicate the success of Irish stallion farms through alternative means. We look forward to celebrating the outstanding work of Ireland’s world-leading stallion farms.”
