One name which does not appear in the Moyglare Stud mating plans this spring is last year's Irish St Leger heroine Search For A Song.

The homebred Galileo filly out of Polished Gem defeated a field of older male rivals at the Curragh in September - the likes of Kew Gardens, Cross Counter and Latrobe were in arrears - and the four-year-old will remain in training this season.

"She's great," reports Fiona Craig, Moyglare Stud's bloodstock and breeding adviser.

"She's been training all winter just doing long, steady canters and stayed down at Dermot Weld's Rosewell House, where a very good lad, Paddy McLoughlin, rides her.

"She's happy, has done very well and we'll just have to wait for decent ground - she's never going to be a filly who races on heavy ground.

"So far, they're just coming up with ideas about where to start her off and which races to target. I don't think you'll see her over two miles - I think she's going to come back in trip. She'll probably start off in Ireland and we'll see where she takes us."
