Norway, this season's Irish Derby third who was a Group 3 winner at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend, is one of the highlights of the newly released Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale catalogue.

Some 1,556 lots have been entered for the auction, which takes place in Newmarket over four days from Monday, October 28.

Norway forms part of a 53-strong draft from Ballydoyle, which also includes stakes winners All The King's Men, Blenheim Palace, Lancaster House and Western Australia.

The highest rated horse in the catalogue is the Sir Michael Stoute-trained stayer Mekong, a four-year-old Frankel gelding who finished second to Dee Ex Bee in the Group 3 Henry II Stakes at Sandown in May.

Also due to come under the hammer are the stakes-winning two-year-olds Sir Boris and Streamline, both sons of promising first-season sire Due Diligence.

The catalogue contains more than 80 black-type performers including Another Batt, Raise You, Sextant, Sharja Bridge and Surrey Thunder, all winners this year.

The Juddmonte draft, which yielded 2016 Autumn Horses in Training Sale top lot and subsequent Australian Group 1 winner Harlem, numbers 38 including stakes horses Boardman, Breath Of Air, Broad Street, Crossed Baton, Equilateral, Imaging, In Favour, Vanbrughand Weekender.

Hamdan Al Maktoum's Shadwell consignment has 70 lots, while the largest entry belongs to The Castlebridge Consignment with 107, including the unbeaten two-year-old Cobber Kain.

Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: “Every year we see horses purchased at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale winning at the highest level both on the Flat and National Hunt and it is this diversity which accounts for the enduring appeal of the sale.

“Both International and domestic buyers know that there is no other sale in the world quite like the Autumn Horses in Training Sale and this year’s catalogue looks set, as ever, to attract a uniquely cosmopolitan audience."
