Unfortunately, the Group 1-winning son of Society Rock, has been priced at £7,500 for his debut season on covering duty at Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket.

"We are delighted to be standing 'Rock's Star', Unfortunately, a very good-looking son of the much-missed Society Rock, who we feel ticks all the boxes for both owner-breeders and commercial breeders alike, being a Group 1 Prix Morny winner, in the second fastest time in half a century," said the stud's managing director Chris Richardson.

The Cheveley Park roster is headed by the mighty Pivotal, sire of 28 top-flight winners and damsire of 21 stakes scorers this season alone. The influential son of Polar Falcon has been made private for his 23rd consecutive season on duty, having been advertised at £40,000 in 2018.

Intello is the most expensive advertised sire on the list, with the son of Galileo - responsible for this year's Prix Jean Prat winner Intellogent and the high-class Young Rascal - set to stand his second successive season at £20,000.

The stud's other son of Galileo, blue-blooded Coral-Eclipse and Juddmonte International hero Ulysses, has had his opening fee of £30,000 trimmed into £17,500 for his second year on stallion duty.

Also subject to fee reductions are Twilight Son, Lethal Force and Garswood, with the trio due to stand for £8,000, £4,500 and £3,500 respectively.

"I feel our stallion roster for 2019 further strengthens the significant contribution Mr and Mrs Thompson [Cheveley Park Stud owners] make to the industry and they hope that breeders, at all levels, will support the great value and opportunities offered by the stallions standing at Cheveley Park Stud," added Richardson.
