Walzertakt to stand at Haras de la Hetraie

Haras de la Hetraie has an intriguing new recruit to its stallion roster for 2017 in the shape of Walzertakt, a Group 2-winning son of Montjeu.
Walzertakt was bred by Gestut Schlenderhan out of the Group 2-winning Kingmambo mare Walzerkoenigin, making him a half-brother to German Derby hero Wiener Walzer and Beresford Stakes winner Port Douglas.
The seven-year-old won the Group 2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil over 1m6f and Group 3 Prix Gladiateur over an extended 1m7f at Longchamp last year.
