Treve's sister Terre bolsters her French Classic claims
Pallasator's half-sister Prosper also beat the fancied Icespire
Terre, a sister to dual Arc heroine Treve, had the field strung out as she took the Prix de Champlatreux at Chantilly on Wednesday, with three lengths back to the Sea The Stars filly Jedi Princess, and Zoffany's Guiliana a further short neck behind in third.
In winning the 1m2f fillies' maiden Terre established herself as a contender for both French fillies' Classics - the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches and the Prix de Diane - as well as the Group 1 Prix Saint-Alary.
Both Terre and Treve are by Motivator out of the winning Anabaa mare Trevise, who has produced five other foals, including Trois Rois, who was third in the Group 2 Prix Greffulhe, and the useful Christophe Clement-trained Mr Sidney mare Trophee.
Trevise is also a sister to the high-class Tsigane, who was third in the Breeders' Cup Mile.
Treve has now begun her own broodmare career at Al Shaqab's Haras de Bouquetot, and has a Dubawi colt foal at foot. Her 2017 cover came in the shape of the stud's new recruit Shalaa, a Group 1-winning son of Invincible Spirit.
Prosper profits from Icespire's difficult passage
Meanwhile at Ascot, it was Pallasator's half-sister Prosper who prevailed in the Spinal Injuries Association EBF Fillies' Conditions Stakes over a mile for three-year-olds.
The Exceed And Excel filly kept on well up the home straight to hold on by a short head from the Frankel filly Icespire, with Sepoy's daughter Soldier's Girl one and a quarter lengths further back in third.
Bred by Newsells Park Stud, Prosper is one of five winners from eight runners out of the Ezzoud mare Ela Athena.
Ela Athena was herself a high-class racemare, winning the Group 3 Lancashire Oaks in 2000, and finishing second in the 1999 Yorkshire Oaks and the 2000 Nassau Stakes.
Prosper was a €240,000 yearling purchase for owners China Horse Club at the 2015 Arqana August Sale, and holds entries for both the Oaks and the Ribblesdale Stakes.
A Juddmonte homebred, Icespire holds an entry for the Coronation Stakes later in the year, a race last won by her owner with Banks Hill in 2001.
She is a half-sister to three-time Group 1 winner Special Duty, who won both the 1,000 Guineas and the French equivalent, the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches.
The pair are out of the unplaced Distant View mare Quest To Peak, a sister to Sightseek and half-sister to Tates Creek, both multiple Grade 1 winners in the US, out of the Listed-winning and Group 3-placed Nureyev mare Viviana.
However, when it came to Pallasator's turn to race in the Group 3 Sagaro Stakes just half an hour after his half-sister's success he could manage only fifth behind Sweet Selection.
