Tom Ludt joins growing Phoenix Thoroughbreds team
The operation's new recruit previously worked for the Breeders' Cup
Phoenix Thoroughbreds has further strengthened its ranks with Tom Ludt joining the growing operation as a US-based representative who will support the current team, advise on new sourcing opportunities and management of existing bloodstock.
Ludt previously served as president of Vinery Farms, spent a two-year term as chairman of the Breeders' Cup board from 2011 to 2013 and, most recently, was president of Santa Anita Park racecourse.
"With Tom's previous leadership roles in running Vinery Stud and Racing for many years, Breeders' Cup and Santa Anita racetrack recently, he brings with him great relationships and experience in the equine markets," said Phoenix Thoroughbreds chief executive Aamer Abulaziz Salman.
"We couldn't be happier to be adding him to our team. We look forward to building our bloodstock operation and we are pleased that Tom is part of building the Phoenix legacy."
