Bungle Inthejungle - the Cornwallis Stakes scorer who stands at Maurice Burns's Rathasker Stud in County Kildare - will be the first freshman sire to be represented this year as three of his sons are among the 14 declared runners for the Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday.

Among that trio is the gelding Carey Street, trained by John Quinn and to be ridden by Jason Hart, who was sourced by Richard Knight and Sean Quinn for €13,000 at the Goffs Sportsman's Sale, the same auction from which last year's winning pair Requinto Dawn and Santry emerged, when the race was split into two divisions.

Also representing the eight-year-old son of Exceed And Excel is Clevedon and Geography Teacher, both unearthed at Tattersalls Ireland sales and trained by Ronald Harris and Roger Fell respectively.

The only six-figure purchase in the line up is Langholm, a son of Dark Angel who was acquired by his trainer Declan Carroll for €100,000 from Yeomanstown Stud at the Goffs Orby Sale.

Kodiac's record-breaking season last year saw him supply 61 individual juvenile winners, and he is also represented in the Brocklesby as the damsire of Lihou, a Mayson colt trained by David Evans who will be ridden by Fran Berry.

The last filly to win the Brocklesby was Sally's Dilemma in 2008, and the George Baker-trained Evasive filly Eviya Rose and Brian Barr-trained Haatef filly Haats Off will attempt to emulate her on Saturday.

The former, a half-sister to French Listed winner Blue Cayenne, is the only runner with form to her name, having finished eighth in a two-year-old claimer at Saint-Cloud on Saturday.

Tizwotitiz backers, meanwhile, will take heart at the fact both parents - Finjaan and Girl Of The Rain - won on debut in May of their two-year-old campaigns.
