Son of Sea The Stars opens new frontier
Quasillo is closely related to flourishing Querari
The South African stallion ranks have gained their first son of Sea The Stars with Quasillo set to take up duties at Klipdriff Stud.
A three-parts brother to leading South African sire Querari, who stands at Maine Chance Farms, Quasillo showed plenty of ability in just three starts for Andreas Wohler, winning on his debut and landing the Group 3 Bavarian Classic.
He is one of three Group/Graded winners produced by his dam, the Acatenango mare Quetena, and is also a half-brother to Graham Motion's Grade 3 scorer Quidura, last seen finishing third in the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley Stakes last month.
Since retiring to stud, Querari has supplied a host of stakes winners including Grade 1 winners Zarnista and Querari Falcon.
Quasillo starts at a fee of R12,000 (£715/€829).
