Shadwell has held covering fees for its British-based roster of stallions at Nunnery Stud in Norfolk.

Last year's champion sprinter Muhaarar, who covered an outstanding first book of mares this year, will stand his second season at an unchanged price of £30,000.

The debut book of Muhaarar contained 60 per cent black-type performers and a third were producers of Group race winners.

The fee for Eclipse hero Mukhadram, whose first foals go through the ring this winter, has also been left unchanged at £7,000.

Nayef, sire of Group 1 winners Lady Marian and Tamayuz, remains at £5,000.

Shadwell director Richard Lancaster said: "It has always been Shadwell's policy to set fees at a level that can remain unchanged for the first part of a stallion's career.

"We have maintained this policy with Mukhadram. We believe this gives a fair deal to breeders at the sales. With good feedback from breeders for the forthcoming foal sales, we look forward to a successful third season with him."

Mukhadram, Muhaarar and Nayef will be available for inspection at Beech House Stud in Newmarket during the Tattersalls December sales.
