Scat Daddy's daughter Lady Aurelia lands the Prix Morny

The late Ashford Stud resident also supplied 2013 winner No Nay Never

Lady Aurelia, while not at her explosive best, still had enough in reserve to land the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville on Sunday and became the 19th individual Group/Grade 1 winner for her sire, the late Scat Daddy, in the process.

The Wesley Ward-trained juvenile was an impressive seven-and-a-half length winner on her debut at Keeneland in April and made the trip over to Britain when she took on six rivals in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

She blitzed her opponents by seven lengths in that contest and while Sunday's victory was not as breathtaking as previous exploits, Lady Aurelia was always in command and won the race by three-quarters of a length.
