Sagaciously takes family honours as half-sisters duke it out

An episode of equine sibling rivalry played out during the penultimate race on Goodwood's Wednesday card, with Sagaciously leading home her year-younger half-sister Sagely in the fillies' handicap.
The pair were bred by Keatly Overseas out of the winning Peintre Celebre mare Saga Celebre, with the winner being by Lawman, and the runner-up by Frozen Power.
Saga Celebre, who was successful on both sides of the Atlantic, is out of Saga D'Ouilly, a sister to 1998 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Sagamix.
