Qatar Bloodstock reveal next year's prices for its stallions

Qatar Bloodstock has announced its fees for the 2017 breeding season with the roster at Tweenhills Farm and Stud in Gloucestershire headed by triple Group 1 winner Charm Spirit at £20,000.

The five-year-old son of Invincible Spirit, whose first foals were born this year, returns from the Aga Khan's Haras de Bonneval in France where he stood in 2016 as part of a partnership between Qatar Bloodstock and the Aga Khan Studs.

Charm Spirit will stand the 2017 season at a fee of £20,000, he stood 2016 at €27,500.

First-season sire Harbour Watch, whose leading performer is Group 2 hero Tis Marvellous, has had his fee reduced from £7,500 to £6,000 for 2017.

Prix Jean Prat scorer Havana Gold, who has been represented by his first yearlings in the ring this year, will stand at £7,000, down from £8,500 this year.

The roster is completed by Group 2 winner Hot Streak whose fee is reduced from £7,000 to £6,000 for his second season at the operation.

2011 Melbourne Cup hero Dunaden, who is owned by Pearl Bloodstock and stands at Overbury Stud, remains at an unchanged fee of £3,000.

David Redvers, racing and bloodstock manager for Qatar Bloodstock said: "We are looking forward to Charm Spirit returning to Tweenhills and so too should British breeders if his first crop of exceptional looking foals is anything to go by.

"Harbour Watch's first two-year-olds have run with great promise. In addition to the Group 2 winner Tis Marvellous, he has sired winners with enormous potential in Britain, Ireland, France and Germany, and his first runner in Australia was successful on debut.

"Havana Gold's yearlings caught everyone's eye at the sales, which was no surprise considering the precocity he himself showed as a juvenile, and we are expecting him to make a big impact with his first runners in 2017."
