Progeny of Kayf Tara, Milan and Scorpion head up May Store Sale
A total of 221 lots have been catalogued for the one-day auction
Tattersalls Ireland has released the catalogue for its inaugural May Store Sale, a one-day select sale featuring 221 lots which takes place on Tuesday, May 15.
The catalogue features progeny from prominent National Hunt sires including Kayf Tara, Milan and Scorpion, all of whom supplied Grade 1 winners at the Aintree festival.
Dylan Thomas's oldest jumps-bred crop are now three-year-olds and are likely to be put under the microscope, with Riverside Stables offering a chestnut gelding out of dual Grade 3 winner Laetitia on behalf of Samuel Gillespie and Oneliner Stables consigning a bay gelding out of an Accordion half-sister to Listed bumper winner Rapid Escape.
Other exciting lots on offer include a Most Improved half-brother to Adonis Juvenile Hurdle winner Master Blueyes and a daughter of the late Presenting out of high-class jumps mare Avondhu Lady.
Commenting on the inaugural sale, Tattersalls Ireland bloodstock director Neil Walsh said: "We are extremely grateful to vendors who have chosen to send quality horses to our May Store Sale.
"The inspection team have reported favourably on the type of horse that they have accepted for the sale, having been given the brief to source quality athletic looking individuals suitable for point-to-point and racecourse trainers.
"The May Store Sale should feature prominently in the minds of any trainer or owner with aspirations of targeting the newly announced Irish EBF Auction Hurdle Series where each race in the 14 race series will carry a minimum prize fund of €20,000. And, of course, all lots catalogued are eligible for the Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial €100,000 Sales Bumper."
