Alicante Dawn sealed a productive 24 hours for Newsells Park Stud sire Equiano with a convincing victory in the Listed Ripon Champion Two-Year-Old Trophy on Monday.

One day earlier Equiano was represented by Belvoir Bay, a British-bred three-year-old filly who landed the Grade 3 Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar in California.

The pair - both out of Rock Of Gibraltar mares - are among ten stakes winners supplied by Equiano, a son of Acclamation who won back-to-back renewals of the King's Stand Stakes and stands at Newsells Park at a fee of £7,000.
