Latest additions to stallion roster have well-bred books lined up
The most recent additions to the Aga Khan Studs' stallion roster Harzand and Dariyan have both had their first mares scanned in foal.
It was recently announced that the first book of mares to be covered by the dual Derby winner Harzand at Gilltown Stud would include the likes of Zarkasha, the dam of champion Zarkava, and Rosawa, dam of Prix Marcel Boussac winner Rosanara.
Dariyan, a son of Shamardal and Hong Kong Vase winner Daryakan who stands at Haras de Bonneval in Normandy, has been
chosen to cover Visorama, the dam of top class stayer Vazirabad, the dam of Prix de Diane second Argentina, a sister to St Leger scorer Arctic Cosmos and to Prix du Jockey Club third Baraan.
Harzand is standing his first season at stud at a fee of €15,000, while Dariyan has been introduced at €8,000.
