Young Three Chimneys Farm stallion Brilliant Speed was found dead in his paddock after being struck by lightning on Wednesday.

The son of Dynaformer was eight years old.

was trained by Tom Albertrani for owner-breeder Live Oak Plantation and enjoyed his finest hour when successful in the Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland in 2011.
