Exciting four-year-old hurdler Djingle, who has won his last two starts in effortless style for Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé including a Listed event at Auteuil, brought a final bid of €350,000 on Arqana's online bidding facility after the one-day auction ended on Tuesday.

The opening offer for the AQPS-bred son of Voix Du Nord was €100,000 and the price climbed throughout the day until six bids were struck in the 'extra time' period and agent Tom Malone triumphed. In total, 12 bids were made.

Djingle will now head across the Channel to be trained by Paul Nicholls.

Arqana chief executive Eric Hoyeau said: “As we celebrate the second anniversary of Arqanaonline.com, this unique platform continues to serve the interests of both our vendors and buyers by allowing quality horses to be traded outside our traditional sales schedule.

"Djingle is an extremely attractive individual who caught the eye of many talent scouts when winning a Listed race by six lengths at Auteuil, thus it made perfect sense to auction him. We wish his new connections the best of luck with this exciting prospect.”

It will have stood Djingle in good stead that British and Irish jumps trainers have enjoyed plenty of success with other French-bred progeny of the late Voix Du Nord, including Defi Du Seuil, Taquin Du Seuil, Vroum Vroum Mag, Vaniteux and Vibrato Valtat.
