Iquitos spearheads big double for German stallion Adlerflug
Gestut Harzburg resident tastes Group 1 success at Baden-Baden

German sire Adlerflug delivered a big double on Sunday, supplying the winners of his country's most prestigious all-aged race the Grosser Preis von Baden as well as the Group 3 Prix du Lutece at Saint-Cloud.
Four-year-old Iquitos scored in the Grosser Preis von Baden by nearly three lengths from Nightflower, a daughter of Dylan Thomas who also finished second in last year's renewal.
The Hans-Jürgen Gröschel-trained colt won the Group 2 Grosser Preis der Badischen Wirtschaft at the same course in May, and finished second to Protectionist in the Hansa-Preis and fourth in the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis on his last two starts.
