The best of Coolmore breeding was demonstrated by Berkeley Square, who broke his maiden in impressive fashion at Tipperary on Thursday.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained two-year-old colt won the Glenvale Stud Irish EBF Maiden over 7½f by two and three-quarters of a length from Jim Bolger's homebred Dawn Approach filly Swing Till Dawn.

Berkeley Square – who had finished sixth and second on his first two starts – is yet another exciting prospect for Galileo.

Earlier in the day Mission Impassible – a juvenile filly by Coolmore's perennial champion sire out of Nunthorpe heroine Margot Did – made it two from two with an easy victory in a conditions race at Clairefontaine.

Berkeley Square is the second foal out of Homecoming Queen, a nine-length winner of the 1,000 Guineas in 2012.

First Of Spring, a three-year-old Galileo filly who is the first produce of the Holy Roman Emperor mare, was a dual winner and sixth in the Prix Marcel Boussac at two last year, and finished second in a Deauville conditions race this month for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget and owner Joseph Allen.

Homecoming Queen is a half-sister to other brilliant Group 1 winners Dylan Thomas and Queen's Logic and Oaks runner-up Remember When.

Queen's Logic is the dam of dual Group 2 winner and Prix de l'Abbaye runner-up Lady Of The Desert, who in turn produced Lowther Stakes winner Queen Kindly, while Remember When is responsible for Group winners Beacon Rock and Wedding Vow at paddocks.

The foundation of this remarkable family is Kip McCreery's Lagrion, a daughter of Diesis who failed to win in 14 starts and once changed hands as a three-year-old for just Ir£3,000.

Berkeley Square looks set to bring further glory to the clan. He holds entries in the National Stakes and Derby.
