Memories of Journey's demolition job in the British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes at Ascot last October will be revived as her two-year-old Mastercraftsman half-sister makes her debut at the same track on Friday (1.40).

Stream Song, who faces ten other two-year-old fillies in a 7f novice stakes, becomes the sixth foal out of Montare to race in the colours of owner-breeder George Strawbridge.

At 120, Journey has the highest Racing Post Rating of Montare's brood; the mare has also produced the Group 2-placed stayer Travelling Man, rated 105.

Daughters Remind Me and Singing Sky failed to win for Strawbridge but have entered the breeding shed, while son Lancing secured his only win over hurdles.

Montare was a top-class racemare herself and won the 2006 Prix Royal-Oak. She also has an Oasis Dream yearling colt and a Makfi filly foal at foot.

The opposition at Ascot includes Lady Momoka, a Shamardal half-sister to Listed winner and Irish Derby third Stellar Mass; John Smith's Cup winner Fairmile; and the Grade 1-placed Marzelline. Lady Momoka was picked up by Roger Varian for €475,000 at last year's Goffs Orby Sale.

Another newcomer, the Siyouni filly Expressiy, starts in a hood but her €260,000 price tag at this year's Arqana Breeze-Up Sale suggests she could go well.

Of those with experience, Indicia - a Breath Breath three-parts sister to dual Listed scorer Stipulate - caught the eye when second on debut at Newmarket a fortnight ago.
